CINDEA
(acronym for
Canadian Integrative Network for
Death Education and Alternatives),
is a non-profit organization
established in 2010.
The CINDEA website has comprehensive information on
various forms of
alternative deathing options.
It also offers extensive
pre-death and post-death resources available
throughout Canada, and for each province or territory
— in addition to
significant alternative options abroad.
The instructors of our new extended online program — Pashta MaryMoon, Madeline Christie, (shown above on right)
and Tricia Keith —
are members of CINDEA. Together, they have 56 years of experience supporting deathing.
We are a dedicated team committed to
personalized, meaningful,
and ecological practices surrounding death, encompassing the stages
before, during, and after death (pan-death).
Since 2014, CINDEA has trained over 120 individuals
in the practice of
Home Funerals,
which involves
caring for one's own deceased at home.
